Our online master's in nursing education will prepare you to teach a new generation of nurses. Competencies for this specialty were derived from the NLN Nurse Educator standards and the Masters Essentials for Professional Nursing practice. The coursework will prepare you to become a knowledgeable nurse educator ready to teach in diverse settings.
Who the program is for:
* Registered nurses (RNs) who possess a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN), have a current, unencumbered RN license, and wish to move into nursing education.
* Individuals who can typically spend 15 or more hours per week on their studies.
This program will be flexible and adaptable to your schedule.
What You'll Learn - Areas of Study:
In this online master's in nursing education, you'll learn all the essential skills and knowledge needed. This program includes five domains of study, the completion of a capstone project and a 40-hour practicum requirement in nursing education.
* Foundations of Advanced Nursing Practice
* Nurse Educator
* Policy, Organization, and Financing of Healthcare
* Research Fundamentals
* Role Development for Advanced Nursing Practice
The curriculum of this program incorporates mastery of competencies established by the National League for Nursing's (NLN) Nurse Educator Competencies. The hallmarks of the program include: (a) research-evidence-based course preparation and (b) application to clinical practice in your area of interest.
