Western Carolina University's Master of Health Sciences program offers concentrations in health management, health education, emergency medical care, and dietetics. The first three of these are fully online programs that can be completed from anywhere in the world. The 33-credit-hour curriculum is composed of three parts: (1) core courses; (2) concentrations courses, and (3) completion of a thesis or project.

The health management program is ideal for those working in hospitals or health departments who aspire to leadership positions. The EMC concentration is designed for working paramedics and others in the healthcare field who are seeking management positions in the area of emergency care.
