The advanced practice registered nurse role in the healthcare system is becoming increasingly critical-and specialized - as the healthcare industry undergoes myriad changes. Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioners (AGNPs) are advanced practice nurses who hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and who have advanced clinical training. AGNPs are trained to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of health issues among adult patients, ages 18 years and older. This specialization explores strategies for improving health outcomes through effective communication and collaboration. You'll have the opportunity to explore current health topics through a curriculum developed in collaboration with experts who serve in leading healthcare systems and institutions.
