In 2010, nearly 5 million adults were on parole or probation in their communities and under the supervision of local adult correctional systems.* In this specialization, you will learn more about prevention, intervention, and consultation programs for criminal offenders in their communities. You will explore the foundations of community crime prevention and restorative justice for victims and offenders. Your studies will prepare you to work with crime prevention programs, early intervention youth programs, victim advocate programs, and other programs to reduce crime and recidivism.
