This course introduces students to the structure and function of the respiratory system under normal and pathological Diagnostic techniques and evaluation are presented along with common mechanisms of respiratory tissue injury and common diseases on several animal Emphasis is placed on the role of respiratory defense mechanisms and their defeat by host-adapted respiratory pathogens.
