USU's Rehabilitation Counselor Education program is fully accredited by the Council on Rehabilitation Education (CORE) to provide graduate-level training in the profession of rehabilitation counseling. Rehabilitation counselors provide counseling to individuals with physical, cognitive, and psychiatric disabilities. Since 1990, RCE has prepared students to enter the field, as well as upgraded the skills and knowledge of practicing professionals. Those who complete either the on-campus or distance program receive a Master of Rehabilitation Counseling degree and are eligible to take the national Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) examination.
