The Bachelor of Arts in Government and Public Service prepares students for careers in federal, state and local government; business; law enforcement; international and nonprofit organizations; journalism; and other professions, as well as graduate school and law school. It offers a well-balanced program that explores both theory and practice. Courses focus on American government and institutions, intelligence and security, and law and justice. The coursework promotes important skills, such as how to research efficiently and effectively, analyze data accurately, think critically about implications, and draw conclusions that will lead to new knowledge as well as practical solutions for the modern world.
