The Healthcare Reimbursement certificate program at the UAF Tanana Valley Campus prepares students for employment in the medical field and offers training to improve the skills of those currently employed in the field. Medical billers and coders are employed in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and other medical facilities. The successful completion of this certificate prepares the student for national certification through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) coding exam and the American Academy of Professional Coders exam (AAPC).
