The Master of Arts in Reading online program, offered through the School of Education and SAU Online, provides the knowledge and skill set to earn the Reading Specialist (BR) endorsement for certified teachers who complete the program and pass the required Michigan Test of Teacher Competency (MTTC) in Reading. Standards initiatives at the state and national level have increased the need for literacy leaders in K-12 education. This program prepares teachers to assume those roles to enhance both the profession and student achievement.
