The A.G.N.P. program prepares nurses to provide a range of healthcare services that promote wellness, prevent illness and manage health and illness needs of adults across the lifespan. The scope of practice of either the primary care or acute care N.P. is not setting specific, but is based on patient care needs. The particular expertise of the primary care A.G.N.P. emphasizes disease prevention, health promotion and the management of patients with acute and chronic multi-system health problems.
