RMU's Professional Enterprise Systems Certificate prepares you to build, manage, and maintain complex enterprise systems across a wide range of applications. Students receive an integrated view of enterprise systems using IBM mainframe hardware, operating systems and applications; a basic understanding of personal computers and essential computer software necessary for both common workplace and personal use; an introduction to structured programming through use of the COBOL language; an introduction to Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM); instruction on the CICS Enterprise Transaction Processing System and CICS COBOL applications; and instruction on the design, implementation, testing and application integration of an IBM DB2 enterprise database system.
