Master of Science in Telecommunications Management

The Distance Learning option of the MSTM is a 32 to 33 credit-hour interdisciplinary program that develops students' broad knowledge in areas of business, technology and communications with options to specialize in areas that best fit their career aspirations.

Telecommunications dramatically influences how individuals and companies communicate and conduct business, from government to health care to the entertainment industry. OSU developed the MSTM program in response to industry's request for skilled and knowledgeable telecommunications managers. Since the program’s establishment, OSU has produced superior telecommunications professionals by maintaining close company ties to keep the curriculum relevant, cutting-edge and abreast of the latest trends and challenges presented by this fast-paced industry.

Consisting of 24 hours of core courses and eight to nine hours of electives, the program draws on the combined expertise of the Spears School of Business; the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology; and the College of Arts and Sciences.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree with a 3.0 overall GPA. Either a technically oriented undergraduate degree or at least two years networking experience is required. A competitive GMAT or GRE is also required, though distance learning students may ask to have the admission test requirement waived.
