The master of science (M.S.) degree program with a specialization in Spanish language education requires at the Fischler School of Education 36 credits for completion. Candidates who have knowledge of Spanish can further develop their proficiency in the four skills while they study innovative teaching methodologies, culture, literature, and linguistics. Students in the master’s in Spanish education program can learn skills appropriate for teaching at all K-12 levels, from elementary school Spanish to the Advanced Placement courses. Strategies appropriate for teaching Spanish as a second language as well as Spanish for heritage speakers will be explored.
