The Graduate Special Education Program offers a rigorous and comprehensive program, which prepares graduate students to begin or further their career in Special Education. This program includes the option of electing to obtain PDE endorsement upon completion of the Autism certification courses. This specialization focuses on proper diagnosis and ongoing lesson delivery across the entire autism spectrum. Students may also elect to take courses to apply toward the national requirements of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Providing instruction on educating special needs students in PreK-8 grades, the curriculum explores the latest research-based practices in special education with heavy emphasis on assessment, instruction, behavior management, and special education law.
