The online MSN Family Nurse Practitioner program was designed for individuals who wish to obtain their MSN or post-graduate certificate and become a family nurse practitioner. The coursework is designed to introduce the NP student to primary care of the family and/or individual across the lifespan from birth to death. The focus is on well care and the management of episodic acute or chronic illnesses. Critical analysis of clinical strategies and interventions in health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention and common health problems seen in family medicine are studied.
