The Special Education concentration assists regular classroom teachers who serve special needs students, teachers who may be considering a Education Specialist Credential, and administrators and curriculum specialists who desire to strengthen their special education expertise. This program can be taken on-campus, online, or a combination of both. Successful completion of the first four courses provides the graduate student an institution-sponsored Special Education Certificate. With a fifth course, SEED597: Independent Study in Special Education (3 units), students can fulfill a 15-unit concentration in Special Education.

The Master of Arts in Teaching with a Concentration in Special Education is a 30-unit program that can be completed in 18 months.
