Earning an Associate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) will typically require a set of basic skills and knowledge similar to, but more general than the standardized degree requirements for other courses. Basic math, English, writing, science and social sciences may all be required; students will then choose the bulk of the remaining courses to build their own unique specialization. Guidance is available (and often necessary) through college advisors or faculty who, in most cases, can help in the course selection process and offer insight on courses' relevance to a individualized degree plan.
