ODU's Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and disposition of licensed, practicing teachers.

Developed to meet NCATE and Ohio teacher preparation standards, ODU's program includes a required internship that emphasizes putting theory into practice and addressing issues related to diversity.

The program meets candidates' interests in research or professional portfolio development, the latter modeled on the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. Elective courses allow exploration of technology, diversity, and classroom management, as well as curriculum and instruction. The program does not lead to initial licensure.
