The Early Childhood Education program at Lake Region State College is designed to prepare students to work with children in childcare facilities and other settings, including: recreation centers, schools, private homes and children's institutions. You will plan learning experiences for children, gain knowledge of the principles of human growth and development and practice skills in guiding the behavior of children. The program provides opportunities to explore careers which require knowledge of children's ages and stages an develop communication skills necessary for positive relationships with children, parents and co-workers.
