The Sociology Department provides opportunities for students to understand the conceptual and methodological tools used by sociologists to understand society.

Students in this 45-credit major are required to complete either a minor or a second major in another discipline. Students seeking a B.A. degree must complete one year college/university study or two years high school study of a single foreign language.
